Huntingdon County Announces County CARES ACT FUNDING in support of Grant Programs in support of Small Business and Nonprofit Organizations.
Today, the Huntingdon County Board of Commissioners voted to create the County CARES ACT FUNDING to assist small businesses and nonprofits affected by COVID-19 public health crisis. The programs will be funded using Federal CARES Act Funds provided to the County by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania under the COVID-19 County Relief Block Grant. An initial amount of $4,076,903 is available for approved Grant Awards through December 30, 2020. All projects and reimbursement requests must be completed by the designated date.
The primary purpose of the program is to provide immediate relief to small businesses and nonprofits impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Huntingdon County hopes to help small businesses and nonprofits remain in business through the COVID-19 pandemic, retain employees and be prepared to grow in the future. Also available through CARES ACT FUNDING is funding for broadband communications to unserved and underserved locations.
Grant awards are available up to $10,000. The grant to be used for payroll, (preference will be given to those applicants that did not receive Paycheck Protection Program, (PPP) or Economic Injury Disaster Loan Funds, (EIDL); rent/mortgage payments; PPE and other COVID-19 related supplies; and operating expenses along with business interruption costs.

This grant provides funds up to $50,000 to small businesses in the state of Pennsylvania that have been impacted by COVID-19.
The PA CDFI Network has announced that the second grant application window will open at 9:00 AM on August 10th and will remain open for 15 business days closing at 11:59 PM on August 28th.
What if I already applied: If you applied during the first application window, notification of your application status will begin August 10th on a rolling basis and will continue over the following few weeks. Notifications will be sent by email from Lendistry.com. The Progress Fund has no access to the applications or their status.
You do NOT need to reapply in the second round. Qualified applications will be automatically rolled over into the next funding round for consideration.
