Infrastructure & Utilities
Adequate infrastructure and utility services are essential to the growth and sustainability of any community. Huntingdon County is continuously working to maintain the resources to update and maintain them.
The Huntingdon County Commissioners and County Planning Staff, along with the Partnership for Economic Progress, developed a plan in 2007 to improve five pieces of infrastructure:
- Water Treatment
- Storm sewer
- Public buildings
- Parks and recreation facilities
With the help of the Recovery Act stimulus in 2009, Huntingdon County has made improvements in these focal points of infrastructure, investing over $30 million in the structural integrity of the area.
